Building Info & Rental

The Sabatini Multicultural Resource Center has many spaces that may be reserved Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 am and 9:00 pm, and Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. First consideration is given to student-oriented events. 

The large classroom (SMRC 116) seats up to 80 and there is standing room for up to 130. The room is arranged in standard theater style seating, though tables and chairs can be rearranged into a square or U-shape. The classroom is equipped with a computer, LCD projector and screen, DVD/VCR player, microphones, CD player, tape deck and dry erase board. Please keep in mind that we do not supply butcher paper, easels or Mac connection cords. 

The small conference room seats 8-10 around a round table, and can be reserved for small meetings. It is not equipped with any multimedia materials or white board.

The front lobby area accommodates up to 50 people and can be reserved for receptions and similar events. Please keep in mind that the lobby is furnished and that the furniture can only be arranged to an extent. 

Events can be catered as long as the catering service is through the Kansas Memorial Unions. You may contact them to make arrangements for your event at (785) 864-2444 or If you will be rearranging the room or setting up food, please factor a half hour of set-up time into your reservation.
